Public service director promoted to deputy city administrator

Cindi Fitzpatrick

Mayor Richard L. “Ike” Stage announced the promotion of Cindi Fitzpatrick, the city’s public service director, as deputy city administrator effective May 1. City Council approved the addition of a second deputy city administrator position in February 2024.

As deputy city administrator, Fitzpatrick is responsible for strategic initiatives and the departments of public service and parks and recreation. She will continue to serve as interim director of both departments until directors are named.

Fitzpatrick is a graduate of Grove City High School and a professional engineer holding degrees in civil engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a master’s in public administration from Franklin University. Fitzpatrick, her husband Matt, and their two children are lifelong Grove City residents.

“Cindi joined the city as service superintendent in February 2014, was promoted to service director in December 2015, and effectively managed the city’s significant infrastructure and public services growth,” said Stage. “Her experience and dedication will be vital as the city continues the trend as one of central Ohio’s fastest growing communities and three time named best hometown.”
