A group of about 20 protest marchers walked down Groveport’s Main Street on Aug. 29 as part of the Black Lives Matter movement. The protest was peaceful and the marchers were escorted by the Groveport Police. This was the second such march in Groveport this summer. This march was much smaller than the previous march in town on June 13 which attracted about 200 participants. Both marches were lead and organized by Pastor Kelsey Crenshaw as a protest against racism in the culture and police violence.
A small gathering of anti-protestors held up the Thin Blue Line police flag to show their support for the police.
