Communities throughout Madison County are hosting prescription drug take-back days on April 30.
• Plain City. The village of Plain City will host a prescription drug take-back day 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 30 at the Pleasant Valley Fire Department, 650 W. Main St. Drop off unused, unneeded, unwanted and/or expired medications.
• Mount Sterling and London. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a prescription drug take-back day 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 30 at two locations: 1 S. London St., Mount Sterling (behind town hall); and 222 Garfield Ave., London.
• West Jefferson. Jefferson Township Fire Department, 745 W. Main St., West Jefferson, is hosting a prescription drug take-back day 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 30. Drop off expired and unused medications so that they can be safely disposed. Medications must be in plastic bags. Batteries must be removed from vape pens. Hypodermic syringes and needles will not be accepted. The same day, the fire department will be hosting a pancake and sausage breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m.
