The Groveport Madison High School varsity softball team recently held its first practice on its new softball field at the high school. The team hopes to play their first game on the new field on May 2. The field features a synthetic turf infield and natural grass outfield. The team has been playing their home games on a field at Groveport Elementary for the past three years as they awaited the completion of their new field. Construction of the field had been delayed by wet weather and ground conditions.
