The village of Plain City, in partnership with American Legion Post 248, announces the launch of the Plain City Military Heroes Banner Program. This program offers individuals or organizations the opportunity to purchase special banners to honor Plain City military heroes. The cost is $75 per banner.

Each full-color banner will prominently feature the honoree’s name, branch of service, years of service, and a photograph. The banners will be displayed on streetlight poles throughout the Uptown District during patriotic holidays, such as Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Eligible honorees include veterans, active duty, or reserve members of all military branches who currently or have previously resided within the village of Plain City.

In light of limited pole availability, applications will be accepted until April 30, 2024, or until spaces are filled. Interested individuals can find additional information, including eligibility requirements, online at or by contacting the Plain City Municipal Building at (614) 873-3527 during regular business hours.
