Photos: Young Eagles soar at conference playoffs

The Golden Eagle Youth Football Association hosted the Little Ohio Heritage Conference Championship playoffs on Oct. 20 at Madison Plains High School. The Eagles’ varsity team topped Greenfield 13-0 to claim the third-place trophy and a record of 5-2. The Eagles’ junior varsity team avenged its only season loss to take the championship from Cedarville with an 18-0 victory; their season record was 6-1. On the junior varsity’s first play from scrimmage, Hunter Butin ripped off an 80-yard run for a touchdown. The Madison Plains fifth-grader went on to score touchdowns from 55 and 35 yards out to help his team win the championship.
