| The Golden Eagle Youth Football Association hosted the Little Ohio Heritage Conference Championship playoffs on Oct. 20 at Madison Plains High School. The Eagles’ varsity team topped Greenfield 13-0 to claim the third-place trophy and a record of 5-2. The Eagles’ junior varsity team avenged its only season loss to take the championship from Cedarville with an 18-0 victory; their season record was 6-1. On the junior varsity’s first play from scrimmage, Hunter Butin ripped off an 80-yard run for a touchdown. The Madison Plains fifth-grader went on to score touchdowns from 55 and 35 yards out to help his team win the championship.
