The July 4th Streetfest took place on the downtown streets of West Jefferson July 2-4. Despite some rain showers, the show went on with food, crafters, entertainment, and fireworks. A large crowd from the surrounding areas showed up for the fireworks on July 4.

The Streetfest drew a crowd that filled Center Street.
Adrian Davis, 5, of West Jefferson swings a hammer with all his might to ring the bell for a prize. Adrian was happy with his prize of a stuffed pizza to take home with him.
The fireworks were set off from Hampton Cemetery. Spectators watched from Main and Center streets, Garrette Park, and the Ox Roast grounds, among other spots.
The fireworks brought West Jefferson’s July 4th Streetfest to a close. The three-day event is put on by the July 4th Streetfest Committee.
