The 29th annual Arts in the Alley was held Sept. 20-21 in downtown Grove City. The event brings in thousands of visitors and artists from central Ohio and beyond. A young artist at heart, 2-year-old Trey Reichert of Commercial Point, makes a creation out of corn kernels. The children’s area featured many events, including a large box filled with kernels.

Haley Lykins, 6, learns the art of playing with puppets. She put on a stage show for audience members. Lykins is a student at West Franklin Elementary.

What would an arts festival be without face painting? Here, Drew Swain, age 7, of Grove City displays her heart on her face. Swain is a youth cheerleader for the Central Crossing Comets.

The Grove City High School marching band performs for festival goers. The band, along with the bands from Franklin Heights and Central Crossing performed in the Community Parade, which kicked off the annual arts event.

Janie Weber sells chicken and noodles for the Grove City Community Club. Weber is from Grove City, but now lives in Florida. She comes back every year for the festival and has been a member of the club for 20 years.
