Grove City High School celebrated their homecoming on Sept. 21 but it was not all football and homecoming court. At the game, students held up signs and flags, with the number 9, for fellow student and football captain 17-year-old Justin Laborce. Laborce was taken to Children’s Hospital earlier in the week. It was initially thought he had a staph infection and was in intensive care for days. The South-Western City School District could not comment on Laborce’s condition but they say the entire football area at Grove City has been disinfected. The Greyhounds lost their homecoming game to DeSales 38-7.
