Jack Craig, of Columbus dances the traditional dance during the Native American Indian Center of Central Ohio’s powwow held over Labor Day weekend in Hilliard. Craig traces his family lineage back through four generations and says he attends as many powwows as he can.

Eleven-year-old Noah Shaw of Richmond, Ind. participates in the grass dance, Dakota style. Shaw’s lineage is of the “Coharie” tribe out of North Carolina.
