London’s Rachel Wolverton goes up for the spike, and West Jefferson’s Chelsea Hughes attempts to block the hit during an Oct 6 matchup. West Jefferson won the game 25-17 and went on to win the match with two more scores of 25-21 and 25-18. The match had been postponed earlier in the season when Hurricane Ike knocked out power and closed both schools. West Jefferson, seeded sixth, will play Johnstown in Division III tournament play at 7:30 p.m. Oct 16 at Big Walnut High School. London is seeded fourth and begins Division II tournament play at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 18 at Pickerington North. They will play the Whitehall-DeSales winner.
