Messenger photo by Whitney Wilson Coy The Ohio Historical Society’s “History To Go Van” rolled into Stiles Elementary Feb. 11 to bring the state’s history to life for fourth graders. The historical society education staff, along with Stiles volunteers, helped students learn about agriculture and nature, examine artifacts, learn about farm animals, crops, conservation, climate and the food pyramid. The project is funded through a South-Western Educational Foundation Grant. Pictured above, students learning about the food pyramid try to guess the various crops needed to make a pizza. |
