The lady Greyhounds captured the Division I Softball Regional Championship May 31 at Ohio State University with a 3-1 win over Lebanon. Grove City’s season ended at this point last season, motivating a number of returning players to take it to the next level this season. The team will get the chance when they face North Canton Hoover in the Division I State Semi Finals June 6 at Firestone Stadium in Akron. The teams lone senior, Katie Brown, is not pictured due to her game ending departure to attend graduation ceremonies. It was 25 years ago that the Greyhounds brought home a state title in softball.

The "G Town Ragers" were on hand to raise the support and noise level, as well as keep track of pitcher, Paige Meyers’ 12 strikeouts. Here fans hold up "K" signs to symbolize the number of strikeouts thrown by the sophomore pitcher.

Meyers sat down a total of 12 of Lebanon’s batters on the way to a 3-1 win and a trip to the state tourney for the Greyhounds.
