(Above) With 39 floors down, Jefferson Township Fire Fighter Adam Goudy completes his last floor in the Fire Fighter Climb for the Cure, held Feb. 23 in the Rhodes State Office Tower in Columbus. This year marked the first time Jefferson Township has participated in the event, which raises money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Jefferson Township’s entrants (below, from left) —Josh McDowell, Goudy, Robin Creamer and Jeff Picken—were among 120 fire fighters who participated. Each made the climb in full uniform, carrying 60 to 70 pounds of gear. McDowell turned in the team’s best time, 11 minutes, 59 seconds, for a top-20 finish.
