| In the second quarter of the opening game shutout on Aug. 30, it takes four Youngstown State defenders to take down Chris "Beanie" Wells. The play culminated with a 26-yard field goal. Despite being injured in the third quarter, Wells rushed for a total of 111 yards with one touchdown. The Buckeyes defeated the Penguins 43-0.
