Ohio State’s Chris "Beanie" Wells (No. 28) breaks away from Michigan defenders for a 59-yard touchdown in the first half of the regular season closer on Nov. 22. It was Wells’ 30th career touchdown. The Bucks dominated the beleaguered Wolverines 42-7. The win marks the first time Ohio State has beaten Michigan in five consecutive seasons.
In front of a home crowd of 105,564 people, Ohio State’s Marcus Williams (No. 24) celebrates recovering a fumble during a kickoff return by Michigan’s Boubacar Cissoko. The play helped to set up Todd Boeckman’s fourth-quarter touchdown pass to Brian Hartline. Jim Tressel is the first Ohio State coach to win seven out of eight games against Michigan.
