Photo: Westgate students win contest

 Three students from Westgate Alternative Elementary, 3080 Wicklow Road, were recently selected winners of the National Fire Prevention Poster Contest sponsored by the American Red Cross of Greater Columbus. Westgate Art Teacher, Susan Guisinger entered artwork of her students to the Red Cross and three students, Faith Sutton, Nicholas Martin and Alexander Carte (pictured) were selected as winners. Nearly 300 entries from Columbus City School students were submitted; a total of five students were selected as contest winners. Their artwork was made into billboards and was displayed around the city of Columbus during National Fire Prevention Month. This was the third year for Red Cross to sponsor the poster contest.
