There was no Miracle Grow used here, but they keep growing. Grove City resident Jackie Jones-Elkins has lived in her Girbert Street home for 42 years and her sunflowers have never gotten as tall as they have this summer. The sunflower on the right is approximately 10 feet high. The blooming one on the left is about 12 feet. Jones-Elkins said she uses regular sunflower seeds and gives them a good drink of water every other day if it doesn’t rain. She attributes their growth to "watering, sunshine and God."
