Operation Stamp Out Hunger was in full force at the Grove City United Methodist Church on May 10. Throughout the country, letter carriers collected non-perishable food items to help families in need and dropped them off at local food banks or pantries. Here, Grove City VIP Club volunteers Alyssa Martin, Holly Colburn and Caileigh Long sort through the food items before they are stored at the Grove City Food Pantry and Emergency Fund located inside of the church. The pantry served food items to 193 area families last month alone. The Grove City Food Pantry holds two food drives per year, White Christmas and Stamp Out Hunger. Residents are always welcomed to bring in non-perishable food items and donate them to either the Grove City Food Pantry, or other local food banks. |
