Despite the weather, rain could not put a damper on the first annual outdoor musical celebration at Summerville at Pinnacle, Grove City’s newest senior living community. Even though everything was set up outside before the rainfall, workers scurried to put everything inside the dining hall before the Pinnacle Pops started at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 14. The event featured musical acts from bands such as the Bailey Laws, Women in Music-Columbus and from harpist Trista Hill. Shown here, brave soul Shirley Farmer is the first person to hit the dance flooring, breaking it down to the sounds of Marquis 66. "When I hear music, I just can’t sit still," she explained. "I think I move pretty well for someone in her 80s." |
