Photo: Fairhaven salutes Old Glory

Fairhaven School received the gift of a new flagpole and flag from the collaborative efforts of Madison County Veterans of Foreign Wars H. V. Christopher Post 1176, Madison County American Legion Post 105, and Madison County Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 950, as well as the Madison County Board of MR/DD. On hand for the first raising of the new flag were: (from left) Eagles’ Susie Andrews, Fairhaven student Daniel Kimbler, MR/DD Operations Manager Dave Wheatley, Fairhaven student Brandon Brown, MR/DD Children Services Director Peg Johnson, Fairhaven student Brady Fisher, American Legion’s Phil Robinette, and VFW’s Charlie Miller. The new pole replaces one the VFW donated when Fairhaven was built in 1967.
