When the Wal-Mart Distribution Center came up with the idea for a contest for children of their employees 12 and under to make a card that would be sent to all of the employees during the holiday season, 10-year-old Caylee Goodman signed up. The winner of the contest would not only have their artwork exposed to hundreds of employees, but they would also receive a cash prize of $100. Approximately 30 kids entered the contest, but ultimately there had to be a winner. Here, contest winner Goodman shows off her prized card. She said it took her about two hours to make the card perfect and wants to buy a puppy with her winnings. Goodman is a fifth grade student at Franklin Woods Intermediate School. |
