| Alice Thompson, Roger Wheeler and Barbara Reiley dig in at the groundbreaking ceremony for the First Baptist Church, located at 3301 Orders Road, on April 20. Over 200 people came to witness the event, marking a new era for the church. Construction on the 95-acre site began two weeks ago and is scheduled to be completed in 12 or 14 months. The First Baptist Church was previously located at 2730 Kingston Ave. in Grove City, and until the new lot is completed, members will continue to worship at that address. When the new church opens, the original site will become a daycare center.
