| Sophomores, juniors and seniors at West Jefferson High School took the Americanism and government test. The top scorers each received $50 savings bonds from American Legion Jefferson Post 201. Jim Saunders, the post’s Americanism chairman, congratulated the winners: sophomores Shane Reed and Eileen Collins, juniors Elizabeth Westlake and Wade Beachy, and seniors Chelsea Huber and Patrick Allen. The winners’ test papers have been forwarded to the district American Legion commander to be graded against other schools in District 6. |
