The Humane Society of Madison County provided the public with a fun way to celebrate the season–photos with Biker Santa. People and their pets alike took advantage of the opportunity, which took place Dec. 7 at American Legion Post 201 in West Jefferson and included children’s activities, a 50/50 raffle, a bake sale and refreshments.

Biker Santa poses with Foxy, a miniature Pinscher, and Swag, a German shepherd. Jennifer Whitaker, kennel attendant at the Humane Society of Madison County, adopted Foxy in October. Swag gets his photo taken with Santa every year, but this was Foxy’s and Swag’s first time seeing Santa together.
Biker Santa shows off his tattoos to Becky Danglade and her dog, Scrappy Danglade. Becky adopted Scrappy, a 7-year-old Maltese mix, from the Humane Society of Madison County a year-and-a-half ago. Becky also has adopted a cat, Lily, and two other dogs, Vernon, a Shih Tzu, and Squishy, a mixed breed who passed away in October, from the Humane Society. Vernon and Squishy had their pictures taken with Santa in previous years. This was Scrappy’s first year posing with the Jolly Old Elf, commemorating his entrance into the lives of Becky and her husband, Dave.
Biker Santa poses with Evan Edwards, 2. Evan’s parents, Max and Brandy Edwards, adopted a terrier mix from the Humane Society six years ago and went to see Biker Santa to support the Humane Society and get Evan’s photo taken.
