City of Groveport Law Director Kevin Shannon (left) and City Administrator B.J. King (right), both fans of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team, lost a wager with Groveport City Councilman Ed Dildine (center) over who would win the Ohio State vs. Notre Dame game on Sept. 23. Ohio State won 17-14 when it scored a touchdown with just seconds remaining in the game. As a result, Shannon and King had to wear scarlet and gray Ohio State shirts at council’s Sept. 25 meeting. Had Notre Dame won, Dildine would have had to wear a Notre Dame shirt. “I don’t look good in green,” joked Dildine. “I just wish the game’s time clock had ran faster,” said King. Quipped Councilman Shawn Cleary, “(Shannon and King) look like two brothers dressed up to go to school.”
