The Jackson Township Fire Department hosted a September 11 remembrance ceremony at Station 204. Held in collaboration with the American Legion Paschall Post 164 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8198, the service honors the hundreds of first responders and the thousands of individuals who lost their lives during the terrorist attack that took place on September 11, 2001, and also the hundreds of thousands of individuals who continue to be impacted physically or emotionally by the attack 22 years ago. To pay homage to the memory of the first responders, Captain Luke Smith rings a bell three times in tribute to their lives and their service.
