On May 10, dozens of canines throughout the region descended upon the Town Center in the city of Grove City to meet new friends and beg for yummy treats during the first of five Paws in the Plaza events that are scheduled to take place at this location throughout the spring and summer. Established through a collaboration with the city’s parks and recreation department and the radio station Rewind 103.5/104.3, the festivities include shopping booths for humans, a photo station with costume options, a watering hole to cool down, and plenty of open space for friendly pooches to play games and gossip about their caretakers. Here, Tucker Mitchum, a 3-year-old Boxer who lives nearby, tries to entice other canines at the event to engage in a game of Frisbee. Future Paws in the Plaza events will be held on the second Wednesday of each month through September from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Town Center at Park Street and Arbutus Avenue.
