It was opening day for the TOPSoccer Spring Season at the One Field at the Galloway Sports Complex on April 13. Shown here is 9-year-old Shun Takashima just a kick away from his first goal of the season. TOPSoccer and the new One Field are the perfect combination to provide young athletes with disabilities and special needs a chance to play soccer. This was the first of six soccer sessions this season.
Here, 4-year-old Teagan Carpenter gets some coaching from her volunteer “Buddie,” 14-year-old Corinne George on opening day of the TOPSoccer spring season. The season kicked off for young athletes living with disabilities and special needs playing on the specially designed One Field at the Galloway Sports Complex.
The young athletes wrapped up the season opener by running through the human tunnel. TopSoccer is also looking for volunteers “Buddies” for the players. Volunteers can be younger children with an adult, older children, teenagers, and adults. For more information on volunteering, email Lisa George at
