Ohio Magazine has named Grove City as Central Ohio’s 2023-24 Best Hometown, making the community the only Ohio city since the program’s inception in 2006, to receive this award three times.

The magazine’s evaluators made visits to nominated communities throughout five Ohio regions, experiencing first-hand what makes each one unique. One Best Hometown is selected from each region based on the evaluated categories of:
•Community spirit and entertainment
•Education and business environment
•Culture/heritage, health and safety

“This is an honor that belongs to the welcoming and loyal residents and businesses of Grove City,” said Mayor Richard “Ike” Stage. “Maintaining a small-town character is the number one guiding principle in our community planning as we grow our beautiful, thriving city. To be named Central Ohio’s ‘Best Hometown’ is essentially what we work to accomplish every day.”

Ohio Magazine will feature Grove City in both the November/December 2023 and July/August 2024 issues of the magazine and online at ohiomagazine.com.

“We are certainly pleased with this significant recognition and look forward to sharing our exceptional quality of life in Grove City,” said City Administrator Chuck Boso. “Our community groups, schools, and faith-based organizations work together to make Grove City a hometown we all admire.”
