Dana D. “Ike” Parsons II, age 39, of Groveport, died Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Grant Medical Center. He was born January 26, 1979 in Columbus, OH. Ike was a 1997 graduate of Groveport Madison High School. He was most recently a member of Obetz United Methodist Church and a longtime member of Groveport United Methodist Church. Ike was a member of Groveport Lodge #240 F&A.M. also a member of the Order of Eastern Star #440, and had been elected as Junior Warden for Lodge #240. He was a past Master Counselor of Groveport DeMolay. Preceded in death by his mother, Brenda (Peck) Parsons; grandparents, James and Majean Peck, David and Thelma Parsons. Ike is survived by his father, Dana D. Parsons, Sr.; step-mother, Rev. Sherry Parsons; step-brother, Jaison Jamison, Butler, PA; step-grandmother, Hazel Tatman, Groveport, OH; several aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Dallas Tatman, will be held at 4:00pm on Sunday, December 2, at the Groveport United Methodist Church, 512 Main St, Groveport, OH 43125; Order of Eastern Star and Masonic Lodge services will follow.
