The Obetz Zucchinifest parade was held Sept. 5 and Obetz Mayor Angie Kirk was the first to toss candy to the crowd as the Obetz float lead the way. The festival was held Sept. 3-6.
The Hamilton Township High School cheerleaders demonstrated their skills during the parade.
The newly crowned Zucchinifest Queen and Princesses were introduced during the parade.
Performers from the Cincinnati Circus entertained the Zucchinifest crowds with everything from cockroaches and fire to juggling to high flying death defying aerialists. Shown here is Giavanna as she flew above the crowd on 20 foot long silks that she used to swing and twist and twirl in and occasionally unfurl her way towards the ground, transitioning into an elegant spin.
Seven-year-old Layla and 3-year-old Maddox Lemery of West Jefferson enjoyed a ride on the merry-go-round at the Obetz Zucchini Festival.
The Zucchinifest featured the band Winger on the main stage Sept. 3. With familiar front man Kip Winger belting out their hits that started with their debut album in 1988. The band has toured steadily since 2006, usually with the same members that got it all started.
