Three years ago, Groveport Madison High School sophomore Kaley Clark, 15, of Groveport, came up with the idea of collecting food items for the Groveport Food Pantry during the Christmas season to help those less fortunate. She wrote up her own flier and went door to door in the Newport Village subdivision leaving the fliers and requesting the homeowners to leave at least one non-perishable food item on their front porch to be picked up by the "Secret Santa" to help other families that were not as fortunate. The neighborhood has responded generously each year. Most of the residents of Newport Village have never met their neighborhood "Secret Santa," but they know that their food items are being picked up by someone who has a big heart. |
