The annual Mums and Mummies took place at Westgate Park on Sept. 14. For more than two hours, goblins, witches, fairies and royalty were spotted throughout the park grounds competing in contests, making crafts, playing games, collecting candy and generally having a great time during the community event. Here are a few scenes captured on that frightful day. Brianna Barney, a corpse bride from the westside, checks out the mums for sale. Proceeds for the flowers went to Friends of Westgate Park.

Lottie, an 11-month-old English bulldog, doesn’t let the googly eyes of the lobster costume get in the way of checking out the sights.
Though dressed as Marie Antoinette, 12-year-old Quinn McGonigle proved to be more popular than the ill-fated Queen of France as she took home overall ‘Best in Show’ at the costume contest.
