On Nov. 9, dozens of West Jefferson residents braved the blustery weather to attend the public dedication of banners that honor local military veterans. The banners, displayed on light poles along Main Street, show the honorees’ names, photos, military branches and years served. The banners were a fundraising project for the West Jefferson Mural Committee, whose goal is to facilitate the creation of murals in downtown West Jefferson.
