A memorial Day ceremony was held on May 31 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in West Jefferson.

The Honor Guard from American Legion Post 201 stands ready to perform a three-volley salute as part of the Memorial Day ceremony in West Jefferson.
Dan Eakins, a member of American Legion Post 201 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7005, served as the guest speaker for the Memorial Day ceremony at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
