An Air Force Honor Guard led the way during the May 29 Labor Day parade in Lockbourne, followed by an honor guard from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department.
Lockbourne Mayor Christie Ward (center) and village council members helped filled the bags of children waiting along the parade route with candy.
Members of the Purtee family – who all served in or are on active duty in the Air Force—Stanley (Bob); his son, David; and grandson, David, were honored by the village for their military service.
Members of Hamilton Township High School’s marching band play as they parade through the streets of Lockbourne.
Boys Scouts from Troop 526 passed out flags to children and adults lining the parade route, which ended in Lockbourne’s Veterans Park with a Memorial Day service.
