
The village of Lockbourne welcomed residents, visitors and special guests from the central Ohio community on May 30 for its annual Memorial Day parade and ceremony honoring the town’s special connection with the military. Hamilton Local Schools Superintendent Mark Tyler, along with teacher Corey O’Brian – an Ohio Army National Guard veteran who served in the Middle East – spoke on military legacy before recognizing senior high school military enlistees. The Tufts family was honored for a long legacy of military service dating back to Charles Tufts’ service in the Navy starting in 1925, along







with the Ray Beane family. With flags lining the sidewalk in Veterans Park, the day concluded with a 21 gun salute and taps provided by the 121st Air Refueling Wing’s honor guard.
