Jobson33.com, a Canal Winchester based job board serving the 33 Corridor, will host Meet the Candidates night on Oct. 20 from 6–8 p.m. at the Canal Winchester Community Center, 22 S. Trine St., Canal Winchester.
The following Canal Winchester and Madison Township candidates have been invited: mayor: Mike Ebert, Victor Paini; city council: Bob Clark, Rick Deeds, Bruce Jarvis, Tim Waibel, Mike Walker; school board: Kevin W. Butler, Matt Kreuger, Robert Toledo, Jr.; township trustee: Kimberly J. Jordan, John Kershner, Gary McDonald, Kathleen Walsh, Sharon Whitten.
Candidates for all races other than mayor will briefly address the audience and will address what they believe the biggest issues are for their race and why they are the best-suited candidate for the position. Candidates for mayor will engage in a debate as well as have a brief opportunity to address the audience.
Questions for the mayoral race debate were drafted by the Canal Winchester High School senior social studies classes.
The moderator will be attorney Jim Coutinho, who practices bankruptcy law and other types of litigation with the Columbus firm of Allen Kuenhle Stovall & Neuman LLP.
