The Harlem Wizards show basketball team and the Madison County All Stars faced off Oct. 30 at Madison-Plains High School in an entertaining game full of basketball razzle-dazzle and antics. The All Stars–made up of Madison-Plains teachers and staffers and London Mayor Patrick Closser–gave it their all, but the Wizards–stacked with former college players and some former Harlem Globetrotter showmen–took the win.

Eddie and Patty Mason ended up being a part of the fun Oct. 30 when Harlem Wizards player Arthur “King Arthur” Lewis climbed into the stands and coaxed them into some dance moves. The event served as a fundraiser for the Golden Eagle Youth Sports Association, which serves Madison-Plains youth in grades K-6. (Photo courtesy of Larry Gessel)
