In order to clear up any confusion, Madison Township in Franklin County issued the following statement to its residents:
“Many of you have seen or heard news reports that Madison Township in Licking County has decided to close its fire department.
Madison Township in Franklin County (all departments) is open and will remain open.
We appreciate the concern of our residents. However, the Madison Township trustees assure you we have no intention of closing our fire department.”
