London wins team title at wrestling regionals

The London High School wrestling team traveled to Miami Trace High School on Feb. 2 to compete in the Ohio High School Athletic Association’s Div. II regional team wrestling tournament.

The second-seeded Raiders defeated Washington Court House 62-17, defeated Athens 42-30 in the semi-finals, and defeated top-seeded Miami Trace 47-24 in the finals.

With the regional win, London advances to the state team finals on Feb. 10 at Ohio State University’s St. John Arena.

London wrestlers who went undefeated at the regional tournament are Antonio Burns, Antwaun Burns, Josh Colvin, Dominic Davis, Brady Fisher, Darian Huff and Thad Huff. Thad Huff, a freshman, pinned all three of his opponents.

Richard Burns serves as London’s head coach.
