A broken street light and a mauled tree are the remnants of an early morning accident  in Groveport. At around 2:15 a.m. on April 14, a woman, 43, driving west on Groveport’s Main Street between Oak and Walnut streets, allegedly struck a parked vehicle. She and her vehicle then apparently spun around and drove up over the curb uprooting the small tree and knocking down the street light on the north side of Main Street before crossing Main Street at Oak Street and hitting a fire hydrant. According to Groveport Police Chief Gary York, the driver was cited for OVI and failure to control. No injuries were reported.
