Toys needed
The team of Mary Burcham and Lt. Mike Shirey of the Truro Township Fire Department has for many years sponsored a toy drive for the needy children in the Reynoldsburg City School District.
This toy drive is separate from the annual "Toys-for-Tots" drive, which is for the Columbus area Fire Departments.
Our drive is specifically aimed at children of all ages that reside in and/or go to school in the Reynoldsburg City School District.
This year once again, as times are hard, there are more and more families in need and we fear that we will not be receiving the donations that we have in years past.
As the sponsors for this toy drive, we find that we are in need and are seeking donations from our community to assist us in ensuring that the children in Reynoldsburg will have presents to open on Christmas morning.
If you are able to assist us with donations of toys, gift certificates or monetary donations to purchase toys, we would be very grateful. Please contact Mary at one of the numbers listed below if you are able to help us in any way.
We look forward to hearing from you very soon. Thank you for your consideration.

Farmers market a success
To members of the Reynoldsburg community:
On behalf of the Reynoldsburg Farmers’ Market start-up committee, I would like to thank you for your overwhelming support of the Market during its first year of operation.
From day one, with over 800 people in attendance, you made it abundantly clear to us that the Market was something that was needed within the community and that Huber Park was the best location for it.
Throughout the season, your growing attendance of nearly 1,200 people each week enabled us to increase the number of vendors from seven to 20 during the peak weeks of the growing season.
Vendors were not only impressed with the support, but also the friendliness of the people in Reynoldsburg. Likewise, many of you shared with us how you renewed old friendships and met new people while attending the Market.
We look forward to bringing you all back together next summer, at which time we hope to include a cooking class, occasional entertainment, and some additional vendors who were unable to attend this year due to prior commitments.
Not only do we want to thank our great customers, we also want to thank Heartland Bank for their generous sponsorship, Ohio Select for our market team shirts, the Reynoldsburg Parks and Recreation Department, and the Reynoldsburg Economic Development Inc. (REDI) board. With everyone’s support, we were able to achieve a highly successful project that truly brought the community together.
Wishing you and your families a happy holiday season!
