The Madison-Plains Lady Eagles beat Greenon at home on Oct. 15 to claim the 2020 Ohio Heritage Conference volleyball championship title.
The Eagles won the first set 25-13 off of a 14-point run with Rylee Davis serving.
The second set went down in similar fashion with a 25-8 win for Madison-Plains. This time it was a 9-point run with Davis serving.
Game three started off back-and-forth between the Knights and Eagles. The Eagles pulled away once they hit a 13-8 lead. They wrapped up the set with a 25-14 victory.
Davis and Cidny Long had a big night with a lot of kills, blocks and digs.
“Morgan Rowe and Bailey Ernst dominated the back row on defense,” said Head Coach Gabby Bush. “Sydnee White and Arington Cordell played great defense all around. Each of them was able to get kills, assists and aces.”
Ally Petee played a great defensive game, helped cover the 10-foot line, and had a few great kills.
Gracie Farmer and Molly Barber were all over the court, set up the hitters in the front and back rows, and ended the night with over 25 assists combined.
The Lady Eagles begin tournament play next Thursday as they host Madison Christian at 6 p.m.
