Kristine Blind is returning to London City Schools as treasurer.
Blind served as the district’s treasurer from 2011 to 2017 before taking a position with Gahanna Jefferson Local Schools. She replaces Trevor Gummere, who has accepted a position as treasurer with Stow-Munroe Falls Schools in suburban Akron.
During her absence, Blind has maintained her connections with the community, often attending London Rotary Club meetings and other local events.
“Life is full of surprises and unknown paths. I’m happy and excited my life has led me back to London. It feels very much like I am coming home,” she said.
Blind has worked in school finance for 23 years. Prior to coming to London in 2011, she served as treasurer for Upper Scioto Valley Schools and as assistant treasurer for Marietta Schools. Her first day back on the job in London is Aug. 1.
“I’m thrilled to have her back. Kris obviously had success here at London. She knows the district well and will be well received back to the community,” said Superintendent Dr. Lou Kramer.
Gummere worked for the district for two years. He came into the position with 14 years of experience as a school treasurer, including eight years with Mount Gilead Extempted Village Schools.
