This month, members of the Kids’ Cooking Club at Mount Sterling Public Library are making personal pizzas, including dessert pizzas. They also are learning how to identify sweeteners often used in cooking, such as honey, syrup, brown sugar and confectioner’s sugar.

When the library announced the idea for the new monthly club in late September, slots filled up quickly, so the library added a second monthly session, and it, too, filled up. Children ages 6-12 are learning the basics of cooking and nutrition.
