As Jonathan Alder Local Schools brings back students to full-time, in-person instruction, the district is opening its board meetings back up to in-person audiences.

The next board meeting is set for Oct. 12 at 5:30 p.m. in the high school auditeria. The maximum capacity with social distancing is 95. The board will accept visitors on a first-come, first-served basis.

The meeting also will be streamed live on the district’s Facebook page to make it available to the larger public during this time.

All health and safety rules apply for board meeting visitors, including self-screening prior to arrival and wearing a face covering.

Although public participation is not required, the board offers it to maintain accountability to the public. The board will receive public participation in-person.

The meeting agenda will be posted at alder.k12.oh.us/BoardofEducation.aspx. The Board will not be able to see comments posted on Facebook Live, so they may not be addressed during the meeting.
