Groveport Madison Schools is inviting senior residents of the district to visit schools and to attend athletic and performing arts programs that showcase the talents of its students.
The District has launched the Golden Cruiser Club, a free program for residents of the Groveport Madison School District who are age 60 and older. Club membership provides free access to all school and district sponsored athletic contests, plays, concerts, and other events.
“This is a way for us to say ‘thank you’ to those in the community who have supported our schools for many years, and way to showcase the skills and talent of our students to larger audiences,” said Groveport Madison Marketing and Communications Officer Jeff Warner. “Membership in the Golden Cruiser Club will grant free admission into all regular season athletic events, plays and concerts. It’s a great opportunity for grandparents and other senior members of the community to see our students’ performances – at no cost whatsoever.”
Those interested in becoming a member of the Golden Cruiser Club can obtain an application through the district’s website at www.gocruisers.org, through any of the school offices, or by calling (614) 492-2520. The only requirements for membership are that applicants be age 60 or older and be a resident of Groveport Madison Schools (as verified by the Franklin County Auditor’s website).
