Its time for the Groveport Farmers Market

The Groveport Farmers’ Market begins its fourth season this year.

The market runs every Thursday from 5-7 p.m. in our new location on the beautiful front lawn of Groveport Elementary school at 715 Main St., on the corner of Main Street and Wirt Road. Attendees are welcome to shop, bring a blanket and enjoy a picnic dinner while enjoying the freshness of what our market offers.

The farmers’ market offers wonderful prepared food items like fresh bread from Great Harvest Bread baked in Pickerington, Connie’s World Famous cookies available in many varieties including her most famous double chocolate chip, and CaJohn’s salsa and sauces, all available six days a week at the Bierberg Mercantile at 607 Main St. Also available at the market is market veteran Mamaw’s Homemade Pies featuring fruit pies that are also available in sugar free and two size offerings of pies all ready to eat.

Fresh produce is also available as growing and weather conditions permit the farmer’s to pick. R&R Farm Produce, another market veteran, offers all kinds of fresh veggies including in mid-June sweet peas, sugar snap peas, bunching onions, spinach and lettuce. Visit again in July when they have offerings of red and white slicing onion, green beans, shallots, beets, potatoes, cabbage, peppers and varieties of squash, just to name a few.  Come back in August for sweet corn, watermelon and cantaloupe. Visit their web site at to find out more about their offerings.

Vendor spaces are available for vendors now for only $10 per week. Non-profits are eligible to receive one space free per market season. The Groveport Farmers’ Market features food, produce and plant items only, but there is space available in front of the Bierberg Mercantile for non-farmers’ market items during the regular farmers’ market time. Call 836-7939 to inquire about space for your business.
